Nonlinear and Interactive Storytelling

Nonlinear storytelling is something that has a lot of potential in the gaming industry. The level of immersion a game provides can get so much deeper with greater levels of decision making. The repercussions of decisions allow for in-universe exploration, and the power lent to the player allows the player to better identify with the main character, allowing for them to more easily feel that they themselves are within the game. It stops being a game, and more about living a fantasy, which is what games are really about.
