Non-linear Narratives

Modern Non-linear narrative games are making a comeback this year, as games like Walking Dead and Game of Thrones make a huge buzz among the collective audience. There are two main reason's why they're so popular however. Most games today are based of very well known, established properties, such as Borderlands or the recent Game of Thrones game. But they're also popular because there is a sense of control given to the player. Player's like to feel like they're playing a story that they made for themselves, and getting rewards and consequences for the actions they chose, because it feels more natural and human that way.
