Flow Chart
Tyson's flow graph
This image represents how these various activities rate in terms of 'flow' according to Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi's theory about flow. Mihaly's theory is that in every activity that you do, there is a certain amount of difficulty, and your level of skill, and by finding the correct balance between these two you can have the optimal experience, or get into the flow.
Flow
I'd put basketball in a low skill, high challenge area of this graph. Four square would be in a low skill, medium challenge area. Freeze tag would be in medium skill, medium challenge.

With Flow the psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi names the feeling of complete and energized focus in an activity, with a high level of enjoyment and fulfillment. As Csikszentmihalyi sees it, the components of a Flow producing activity are:
We are up to the activity.
We are able to concentrate on the activity.
The activity has clear goals.
The activity has direct feedback.
We feel that we control the activity.
Our worries and concerns disappear.
Our subjective experience of time is altered.
Not all of these components need to be present together for Flow to be experienced.
There are many characteristic experiences that are associated with fun: the sense of timelessness, of being at one (with mind and mountain), of exhilaration, focus, immediacy. And all of these are characteristic of what we, regardless of activity, call "fun."
flow zone
According to Dr. Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi's well-documented observations and research, and his wide-scale gathering of personal observations, there is pretty much universal agreement that when there isn't a high correlation between the challenge (the height of the mountain, depth of the dive) and the ability to meet that challenge, fun is something we're definitely not having. The main dialog (dynamic), according to Mihaly "just call me Mike" Csikszentmihalyi, is between Challenge and Ability. When the challenge is greater than our abilities, we become anxious and potentially dead. When the challenge is significantly less than that of which we are worthy, we become bored, and potentially dead.
Maintaining the dynamic balance between abilities and challenge is key to the fun experience in work. That is, keeping it dynamic. Making it possible for anyone to find exactly the right amount of challenge needed to engage exactly those abilities needed to access Flow.Which means that when work is fun we have created complex, but negotiable challenges, challenges that allow the individual to engage or disengage, to work harder or work safer.
So, there we have it: Fun defined as Flow, which is defined as a function of the relationship between Challenge and Ability. (see this and this, but especially this for more about the attributes of Flow). Whether or not it is true, it is definitely fun.

favorite/least favorite Pixar movie.
Out of the all 15 or so Pixar animated films, my favorite was The Incredibles. Although I'm not entirely why it is my favorite, it is probably due to it being one of the first action movies that I ever played, as well as the special abilities of each of the characters. The animation/graphic of the film never entered into the equation for whether or not I liked the film, so even now when comparing it to modern graphics I can still enjoy the comparatively crude animations.
My least favorite of the Pixar movies is the movie Ratatouille. It isn't that I don't like the movie, it is more that of the many Pixar movies that I have seen, it was the least interesting to me, and also came out at a time where my tastes were shifting away from that kind of movie.Review of Cranium
I liked Cranium, it was a fun game that also integrated a lot of difficult challenges. It was a lot of fun, we had groups which made it more difficult, but also opened up the possibility for more fun and hard challenges. I particularly liked the data questions, mostly because I was good at them. Nothing is better than figuring out the answer to a difficult question. And in a game where those who are smarter are rewarded, and the dumb have to take the long route, it's even better.
Pixar at its best and worst
As a general rule, I've liked most if not all of the Pixar movies I've seen, from Finding Nemo to Inside Out there hasn't been a movie that I didn't like. But to pick a favorite would be hard, like picking a favorite child. But if I had to chose I would have to say it would be Wall E. The story itself plays to a fear for the future we all have if we don't care for our planet, and then there's the cute love story between two robots. Wall E is also very human like in that he is inquisitive and likes to collect things. The way Pixar made his eyes droopy like a sad and lonely puppy, they made them looks like real eyes, he's a very relatable character.

If I had to pick my least favorite movie, it would probably have to be A Bug's Life, the movies itself was good no doubt; and the animation for the time was pretty solid. But the fact that it was one of the first Pixar movies I'd ever seen, is possibly my least favorite. It's what I would compare all future Pixar movies too, and every movie afterwards would fly past the bar.

Pixar
My favorite Pixar movie is Monsters, Inc. It takes the idea that children are afraid of monsters and flips it so that monsters are afraid of children.

My least favorite Pixar movie is The Incredibles. I tried to watch it, and nothing that was in the trailer was in the actual movie. The trailer was more entertaining than the movie.

favorite/worst pixar movies
my favorite pixar movie is The Incredible because it was the most fun to watch.
my least favorite was Toy story 3 I didn't enjoy the story.
Favorite and Least Pixar movie
My favorite Pixar movie as of right now is Monster Inc. University. I find it cool how the monsters have to go to school to learn certain ways on how to scare kids. It kind of makes me think that Pixar was kind of basing it off of real life. Like the monsters had to go to school to get an actual job and in real life kids have to go to school to get a job for when they are older.

My least favorite Pixar movie is Cars 2. I didn't find it as entertaining as the first cars movie. I thought that it had some cool things about it like being a secret agent. But in the first movie it actually had a better story behind it.

Pixar
My favorite Pixar movie is by far Wall-E. This movie has a very unique and interesting story that poses actual legitimate moral questions. It makes you question where humanity is headed as a species. When an animated movie can make you ask these kind of questions, you know it is a good one.
My least favorite Pixar movie is Cars 2. This movie was just bad. The original Cars movie was excellent and I really enjoyed it. However, the sequel was so terrible I didn't sit through the whole movie. The story was impossible to follow and had no relation to the first movie. It was just a train wreck.

Tyson's review of Cranium
The board-game Cranium is a surprisingly difficult game. Generally you'd look at a board-game about drawing, spelling, trivia, and singing as a very easy game, but with Cranium it is far more than that. With this game the Red (trivia) cards require the player to have a deep awareness of a wide variety of pop-culture. The Yellow (spelling) cards require the player to both be aware of pop-culture, but also have advanced spelling (like knowing how to spell hypocrisy (which I had to auto-correct to spell correctly)). Then the Blue (drawing) and Green (singing/songs) force the players to display any and all artistic/musical ability as well as a knowledge of popular songs. All in all the Cranium game is deceptively difficult and requires a diverse and knowledgeable team to succeed.
The game cranium is not as fun as it looks
The game cranium is not as fun as it looks. To be honest I'd found it to be more fun just rolling the dice. The game Is for pedantic people, you need to be quite punctilious when playing such a game. When I was playing the game all i was thinking was Octothorpe lame. The game was intended to be used as didactically which makes it quite a platitudinous.
The Game Cranium is Extremely annoying. It is biased to a specific age group. Definitely not meant to be played on a Friday morning
Cranium
I did not enjoy playing Cranium. The game is boring and too difficult to be fun. The objects that you were told to make out of clay were completely ridiculous. This made the game irritating and not fun. Also, you need too many people to play the game. I prefer games that only require 2 people minimum to play.

This game is the best football game that has ever been created by a high school student who has never done this stuff before.
Bat capture is a simple time wasting game. The arrow keys are to move, space is to fire. Your goal is to hit the bat as many times as possible before 10 seconds has passed.
My game: RED vs. BLUE
This is my game, RED vs. BLUE, which I made in scratch. I got the idea for the game after creating my first "game" (RED DEFENSE), and then spending a little while trying to make a Pong rip-off. Combining what I had learned from making these two "games" I was able to create this game.
Instructions:
Red: W=up S=down D=shield A=laser
Blue: Up Arrow=up Down Arrow=down Left Arrow=laser Right Arrow=shield
Hit the flag! Become the ball! Get to the cheesy puffs, you love them! Use the arrow keys to move, and don't touch black - but don't go too slow, you're being timed!
A Timeless Realm (cameron stone)
To begin the game press W.
Control
W= Up
A=Left
S= Down
D=Right
The goal of this game is to see how long you can last. Avoid any to all contact with the blue lasers. Hearts will give you 10 health point. Once your health hits zero you lose. if you can survive till the end of the song then you win, but you can keep going.

My game, Galaxy
My game is called Galaxy. It is a space invaders type game that only ends when you are destroyed. There are a few bugs in the game and I was unable to add a score counter, but as my first game that I've made I am still proud of this piece of work. There are many ideas that I have for games in the future and thanks to this game I've developed some of the skills I need to start making them. Hopefully you will try my game and enjoy it for what it is. Thank you.
CONTROLS: Right and left arrows keys: Move
Space: Shoot
Space Invaders
The space invaders game is a great way to waste time trying to get a higher score, but aside from the drive of competition there the very little reason to play more than a few minutes. The game features an ominous sound track which consists of deep repetitive deep noises which speed up as the enemies get closer to the player.

Space Invaders
Space Invaders is a game that I really enjoy playing and its one of my dads favorite games when he was a child. When I get older and when I have kids I'm going to introduce this game to my kids, then I'm going to show them the difference between the games during their generation and classical games that I use to play when I was a kid.
Space Invaders
Space Invaders is a game that I personally enjoy a lot. It's extremely addictive and simple. You keep trying to beat your high score. I highly recommend it.

Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Bros. is the first Mario game to be created on the NES system. It is a fun game to play, but can be very hard since every time you die, you have to start over from the beginning. It is also fun since each level is different. The simple controls help to give the game the charm it had when it was first released, and that is what also helps to make the game work, and that helps to keep people playing it for 25 years since it was released. The color of the ground vs the background helped to make it clear where Mario and the enemies were. Overall it is a very fun game, and is even better on the original NES.
1. the game in one sentence very mario like
2.The game was fun because its still a challenging game plus when you run out of lives you have to start over.
3.the game was not boring (see answer 2)
4. yes the game worked well because it was smooth
5. the music was good and works well with the game
6.it was good
Super Mario Bros in retrospect.
The original Super Mario Bros, although it lacks the advanced graphics, mechanics, and abilities present in modern games, it is still fun. It possesses a rogue-like game style which makes the player want to redeem themselves after prior defeats and try the same levels over and over again, despite frustration elicited by those levels. The game accompanies this level repetition with a celebration at the end of each level which makes the player feel victorious. Combined with the transition between levels which prompts players to play the game in blocks of time.
Mario Brothers
Mario Brothers is a fun, simple, and addicting platforming game. It is a very classic game that millions of people have enjoyed since it first came out. There are countless Mario games that have been made and the character Mario has become recognizable all over the world.
The game play of Mario Brothers is extremely simple, however this simplicity makes it very popular with all types of people. No matter what age or skill level, everyone can play and enjoy Mario Brothers. The controls are also very simple. There are only two buttons making it extremely simple and easy to pick up and play.

The difficulty is so eh. I am very rusty at Super Mario Bros. How in the blue blazes am I supposed to improve my skill? It was fun but, boy was it HARD! :\
MARIO BROS
Super Mario Bros. (Japanese: スーパーマリオブラザーズ Hepburn: Sūpā Mario Burazāzu?) is a 1985 platform video game internally developed by Nintendo R&D4 and published by Nintendo as a pseudo-sequel to the 1983 game Mario Bros. It was originally released in Japan for the Family Computer on September 13, 1985, and later that year for the Nintendo Entertainment System in North America, Europe on May 15, 1987 andAustralia in 1987. It is the first of the Super Mario series of games. In Super Mario Bros., the player controls Mario and in a two-player game, a second player controls Mario's brother Luigi as he travels through the Mushroom Kingdom in order to rescue Princess Toadstool from the antagonist Bowser.
